What is The Issue With Henna?
What is the issue here with "Henna" (a kind of Arabic tattoo)... Many people know that women (old and young) do henna for special occasions (parties, weddings, Eid,.. etc) this is something normal and a kind of tradition...but the strange thing here in Sudan is that "Henna = married woman"
If a girl for example does henna in her hands or feet or both that means she is married.. although the designs that are done are simple and for young girls..
The story is that I went and did henna in both of my hands and feet for a family wedding and my design was veryyy simple.. but everyone who saw me asked me if I'm married and asked why I did it.. also when I did henna (just on my hands) for Eid they asked the same question.. which shows that any kind of henna small or big or just a touch of it, will make people come over and ask you if you are married.. which I find a bit weird.. I think I need time to understand this country.. (which I have plenty of ^_^)
