The Washed Reciept

To get my ID card, they gave me a receipt and they said not to lose it or I won't get the card.. I said don't worry, I'll put it in a safe place.... and I did (my jeans pocket)..

The thing is I really didn't lost it, the jeans just went on a trip in the washing machine, and came out brand new and so as the receipt, I almost had a heart attack when I saw the paper almost blank with no writings on it.. just half of my name, half a number and half the date..

I didn't know what to do, I just smiled in a psycho way and left it to dry... The next day I took it with me to collect the card and thank God the person in charge didn't say nothing when she took the receipt.. she read my name (what is left of it) and searched for the card and gave it to me..

I was really relieved that it went well and I was happy to have my card at last that had a un pretty pic of me... Uhhhhhhh.. you lose some, you gain some..

The Nile

No one here really realize that they are living in a country that has the longest river in the world..

What makes it sad is people look at it as just some other water place, hmmm which it is if you thought of it that way, in addition to that, it is the LONGEST RIVER IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD.. People of my land can you hear, I said :'WIDE WORLD"...

You have to be proud people ,put your head up high and walk straight and never look down.. (I'm not responsible if you fill and broke your neck, you should've seen that whole in-front of you)

What I ask of you is just to take a moment and think? Go to the Nile, look at God's beautiful creation.. Thank Him for what you have and where you are...

----- Just be proud

ID Card

Went to do my ID card, a card that if you don't have here you'll get into trouble.. and we don't want that here, believe me...

Anyways, wake up reallyyyy early and that is something I never do..7AM.. do you believe that,I don't.. set my alarm'S', not one but 4 and thank Allah I wake up..

Prepared my papers and headed out so I could be the 1st and finish quickly.. arrived there and GOOD MORNING COUNTRY.. didn't know that the whole country don't have an ID card..

Despite of that, I finished early .. how lucky am I, I know..

BUT (yes there is a but) didn't get my card and have to come tomorrow in THE MORNING to collect it.. which means, setting my alarm'S' again..

Super Star

When I arrived, family, relatives and people I don’t know came from every where to welcome me. The house was busy for weeks. Felt like a super star, waving to them from my balcony ^_^
"Thank you, Thank you, I love you too."

A really nice feeling being on the spotlight.

But in one point I felt like a monkey in the Zoo..O..O..O.. being watched by everyone.

"Oooo you grew up".. "Are you married yet".. "You lost weight".. "You look like your mother"--(Scary *_*).. These are some of the comments I heard and still hear..

No complains, as you know thats the life of a super star.. ^_~

The Promissed Land

Yearned to see it and now am in it. It has been 9 years since I last saw it, I was 15 or so and we went there just for the holidays. Don’t remember much cause I didn’t do much or I just forgot. Just pictures they used to show us of our holiday there..

It was like a dream when they decided to move back there for ever. No one believed it until they saw it.. back to Sudan, "The Promised Land" this is what I call it. For me it was what I wished for, a place I can call home, some where I belong to.. my land

I was really excited couldn’t sleep for nights, dreaming about it, about how it will look like, family and relatives I never saw, cousins I used to play with but now married or in the uni, beautiful places to see, Adventures that awaits me...

And the day came………………… arrived in Khartoum Airport and I saw it, couldn’t take my eyes from it. I think I’m in love, at last found what am looking for.. my place, my home, my land…The Promised Land
