Are You Racist?

Throughout my stay here I have faced some strange behaviors one of them is Racism.. Because of the slight colour differences some people think they are better than others..

Doesn’t that sound familiar to some of you? Yes America land of the slav**, I mean land of the free.. But the difference between here and America is:
"America is between whites and blacks, here it’s between blacks and blacks". Very stupid isn’t it.. (For example, northern and southern people, I think it’s the effect of the British invasion in the old days).

"He is darker than me so he is under me.."

Black, brown, light brown, chocolate, caramel, Oreo or what ever, there is no difference..

Northern people think they are better than the southern because they are light coloured or related to Arabs which I find nonsense; Southern people are as good as the northern and better.

"Because he/she is too dark and looks very African he/she must be dangerous. Stay away from him/her and don’t be in contact with him/her may be he/she has a disease."

Or

"Don’t you get scared of these people?.."

“these people” !!! How could I be scared of them.. they are me and I’m them,we’re all Africans...

These are some of the stupid remarks I hear.

I am proud of being black..I am proud of being African..

I’m a black African Muslim who speaks Arabic but I’m not an arab.. my colour doesn’t represent me I represent me. My words, my acts, me, myself and I.. This is who I am.

The Forbidden Trash Bins

In the house there are lots of trash bins in every room and every corner. You may say that we are a clean family, but the mystery behind these trash bins is… “they are not for use!!!!???”

Yes I’m not kidding..@_@

For example, if you threw anything in it, they’ll say take it from their and put it in the kitchen trash bin.?? So why do we have these bins if we are going to throw the trash in the kitchen bin.. is it for decoration? Or just to feel safe or to fill spaces in the house… hmmmmm.. a mystery like the Davinci Code.. I think we need Tom Hanks to slove it.. looool

Rap Concert at the French Centre

Went with a couple of my friends to a Rap Concert held at the French Centre by a band called "Saga" (which means lightning in English). The concert was the best of the best. The singer (Abas his name) and his band were really good, lively and energetic. Everyone was moving with the beat. They sang in French, English, Arabic and Dinka (an African language). Although I didn’t dance, I was tabbing my foot and nodding my head with the beat.. I really wanted to jump on the theatre with the band and show them some of my James Brown moves,.. you know what I mean ^_~ loOol

Took lots of pictures of the band and other famous Sudanese singers who came to the concer (Kamal Keila and Salah Brown). I was really happy that I was able to take pics of everything and everyone…

Would love to do it again if possible.. SoOoOon ^_^

French Course

Been long didn’t write.. this country is taking me in a spin..

I took a French course in the French Cultural Center.. veryyyyyy nice place.. when u go there it's like entering another world (quantum leap).. friendly people.. nice faces to look at.. happy smiling faces,.. can u imagine that? YES in SUDAN…it’s a blessing from GOD I tell ya… it's like heaven in hell.. loOoOoOol ..

My class mates were reallyyy great, funny and always smiling.. although I didn't get to know them till the end of the course loool ^_^ (Shy girl) but they were nice and when I go there I have a blast.... and my French teacher WOW that guy is the best.. he is Sudanese and speaks EXCELLENT French.. I just sit on my chair and gaze on his mouth..how flow-went and beautiful the language is and how good he speaks it.. although sometimes it sounds really funny and makes me laugh while the teacher speaks... Ooops ^_^... but I love it (J'adore le francais)

Anyways, now I finished the course (passed 17.50/20.. good mark ha ^_~.. profissional girl) , took some pics of my friends and the place.. and will try to visit when ever I'm free... so au revoir for now and see ya later..
