What is The Issue With Henna?

What is the issue here with "Henna" (a kind of Arabic tattoo)... Many people know that women (old and young) do henna for special occasions (parties, weddings, Eid,.. etc) this is something normal and a kind of tradition...but the strange thing here in Sudan is that "Henna = married woman"
If a girl for example does henna in her hands or feet or both that means she is married.. although the designs that are done are simple and for young girls..

The story is that I went and did henna in both of my hands and feet for a family wedding and my design was veryyy simple.. but everyone who saw me asked me if I'm married and asked why I did it.. also when I did henna (just on my hands) for Eid they asked the same question.. which shows that any kind of henna small or big or just a touch of it, will make people come over and ask you if you are married.. which I find a bit weird.. I think I need time to understand this country.. (which I have plenty of ^_^)

The Spilled Coffee

You know when you think that everything is going well and it can't be better.. suddenly you spill coffee in front of everyone..

hmmmm...you know that feeling of wanting to through yourself from the window.. yahhhhhh

The story: went to my uncle bachelor party (here we call it Gaydooma.. and everyone in the family attends it.. men and women). I was setting with the women of the family (mostly the oldies) and coffee came, they said "Young one go and poor us some coffee" and I was like yah I'll do that..just held the coffee jar to pour it and it didn't go, I opened its lid and it was filled toOo much that when I wanted to pour it spilled everywhere..

You'll say it wasn't my fault.. but here they say how clumsy is she..

Note: I think cause that I don't drink neither coffee nor tea...

Beauty Contest

God Help Me...

Its the month of weddings here.. people suddenly want to get married in this month.. how strange...

Got invited to some of the weddings and parties here which means have to prepare myself for the "Beauty Contest" ^_^..

You know what I mean if you are a woman..

Girls in the party checking themselves and others out.. Giving you the look if you are better than them or not.. a really stupid but funny attitude.. even the grown ups here do it..

A friend of mine told me that they give the "look" to scare you or they are jealous of you.. to be true, girls here look really scary with their overdone makeup.. so don't blame me if I got scared hehehe

Anyways.. wish me luck, cause I'm going to war..
